For the ninth year, partners in crime Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will team up to co-host the Country Music Association Awards on Nov. 2. This year’s show is a big one, as the CMAs are celebrating their 50th anniversary, so you can bet that Carrie and Brad will pull out all of the stops to make it as entertaining as possible.

In the lead-up to this year’s CMAs, Brad and Carrie grace the September cover of Southern Living magazine. They also sat down with SL for a video interview to talk about growing up in small towns, best childhood memories, ideal jobs (other than country music stars, of course), road trip playlists and advice they would give their 19-year-old selves.
