ACHD Says Keep Campaign Signs Out of the “Vision Triangle”

Garden City (670 KBOI News) – 670 KBOI is your station for Election 20-18.

Election Day is only about a month away, and campaign signs are popping up all over the Treasure Valley.

The Ada County Highway District’s Natalie Shaver is reminding voters and campaign workers alike to be mindful of where they put those signs…because they could block people’s line of sight on the street.

“So, we have this thing called the ‘Vision Triangle’, that’s a guide as to where these signs should be placed,” said Shaver.  “They should be about 40 feet back from the point of an intersection where the curb and the edge of the pavement meet.”

Signs that are too close to the street will be removed, she says. You can get them back, but you’ll have to go to ACHD headquarters in Garden City to get them.

You may also have to pay any cost associated with taking them down.
