There was a wildfire on Saturday near Lucky Peak Reservoir, about 7 miles east of Boise, but BLM crews were able to knock it down fairly quickly.
The “Lucky Fire” as it was called burned about 100 acres in all on Saturday before being doused by BLM and Forest Service hand crews, who were aided by several helicopters with bucket drops.
Crews are working hot spots along the perimeter of the fire to reach full containment, but the fire was deemed to be out on Sunday.
No further spread is expected but with predicted hot and dry weather crews will continue to mop up and monitor the fire over the next two days.
