Outdoor Idaho Adventures is where me and my family try new activities throughout the Treasure Valley and our great state of Idaho.
If you’ve done any kind of hiking in our foothills in and around Boise, you’ve probably been on one of the Ridge to Rivers trails. Our family has a great time exploring the different trails. There’s so much to see all year long but be aware, if there’s been a heavy rain or snowfall, we are asked to stay off the trails until they dry and stabilize. If you’ve every hiked on a wet trail, the mud cakes to the bottom of your boots like you’ve never seen. Plus it does so much damage to the trails and leads to erosion and other issues. Here’s some pictures of one of our past hikes on some trails off Cartwright Ranch Road.
Here’s link to see all the Ridge to River trails, level of difficulty and what’s allowed on the trail, people, mountain bikes, equestrians etc.. Click here to learn more! Happy Trails!
