It’s time to have the “talk!”

No, not that kind of talk that we have with our kids but rather it’s talking about technology scams. The Boise Police Department is launching an initiative to help us talk to our loved ones about this serious problem.

Officer Brad Thorne talked with me this week about “how” we can have this talk and some important tips to remember as we approach the holiday season. Technology scams are on the rise. Whether is an online phishing scam, a text scam or bank scam there’s important warning signs we all should be looking for!

If you or someone you love has been involved in a scam, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Boise Police Department non-emergency number (208) 570-6000. There are a ton more resources to help educate you and your family about a multitude of scams that are present in the Treasure Valley. Click here to learn more!
